History and Location
Originally founded in 1942 as the Transmissions School. After various stages of integration—including a link with the Rumiñahui Battalion in 1962—it became an independent unit in 2003, under the Army’s Education and Doctrine Command (cedeejercito.mil.ec).
In 2009, it was named after Colonel Eduardo Cornejo, a notable officer from the Communications Branch.
It is located in the Rumiñahui Military Fort, north of Quito, in the La Kennedy neighborhood (Streets Los Pinos E7-105 and Manuel Cabeza de Vaca).
Mission and Vision
Mission: To train and improve human talent within the Army and Armed Forces’ communications system through high-quality and comprehensive military education.
Vision: To become a leading national and international training institution, recognized for its modern infrastructure, advanced technology, and highly qualified instructors.
